MFT Clinical Supervision
Your Professional MFT Supervisor
Looking for a compatible, trusting, and mentoring MFT Clinical Supervisor? Hi, I am Tammy Brooks. I am a MFT Clinical Supervisor as defined by the Board of Behavioral Sciences of California. I provide you the ethical, professional, knowledge, and experience that trainees, interns, and registered associates need in a quality MFT supervisor.
I have found 35 years experience working in the mental health field is a real asset for those that I mentor. I provide feedback and opportunities that enhance your growth by asking questions in such a way that is supportive, not judgmental. I really enjoy working with the new therapist as they develop skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to become strong ethical clinicians. Past interns, associates, and trainees compliment on my easy going style and personable approach, not to mention my integrity, organization, and prompt response to their concerns.
I look forward in discussing how I can assist in your career path today. Contact me to learn more how to get those hours counted today.

California law currently requires 3,000 hours of supervised professional experience, including 104 supervised weeks, in order to qualify for LMFT licensure.
And, YES your MFT clinical supervision can be done by video conference in California, but with specific requirements. Recent legislation, such as AB 1758, allows for supervision via two-way, real-time videoconferencing in both exempt and non-exempt settings. However, supervisors must conduct an initial assessment within the first 60 days of supervision to ensure that video conferencing is appropriate and that proper privacy and security measures are in place.
Let’s talk more about where you are in the licensure process. Whether beginning or towards the end, or somewhere in the middle. I am here to mentor, guide, and support.

You must meet with your supervisor every week. Either a minimum of one hour of individual or triadic supervision, or two hours of group supervision in order to count work experience during that week.
You will also want to be sure that you are also meeting the required ratios for supervision of direct clinical counseling hours.
Currently I have openings available for those seeking individual supervision.

Rates are influenced by factors such as the supervisor's experience, the setting (private practice vs. agency), and geographic location, with private practice and more experienced supervisors commanding higher fees.
My fees currently are below market for the years of experience, license type, geographical location, type of supervision offered in the private practice setting.
